Linda Berlin

Linda Berlin began her writing career as a journalist in San Francisco. She’s worked as an editor for a Pulitzer-prize winning weekly newspaper, a beat reporter for a wire service and as a freelance writer. Published in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Aviation for Women, and the San Francisco Chronicle, she got hooked on flying while researching a feature story at a local flight school. Ms. Berlin is now a pilot for a major airline. Her Substack essays about books, aviating, and adventure travel, publish bimonthly under the banner, Perpetual Motion. In her upcoming debut novel, The Perfect Pianist, she explores the rise and fall of a famous classical pianist, Julia, a child prodigy and twin to brother Tommy Turnbull, who is determined to save her at all cost.

Ms. Berlin flies a narrow-body jet out of Seattle, Washington, to Hawaii, Mexico and Costa Rica, but commutes to northwestern Wyoming, on her days off to live with her spouse, Rodeo. She often tinkers on her Baldwin upright piano, a precious gift from her father.
