Linda Berlin began her writing career in San Francisco for a local wire service. She’s worked as an editor for a Pulitzer-prize winning weekly newspaper and as a freelance writer. Her stories are published in the San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, InStyle magazine, and Aviation for Women. While researching a feature story about a local flight school, she got hooked on flying. Ms. Berlin is now a pilot for a major airline.

The Perfect Pianist follows the life of a classical pianist through the eyes of her loyal twin brother, Tommy. After a successful tour in Europe, Toby Turnbull accompanies her music agent to a private island in Fiji to raise funds for future engagements. When tragedy cuts the trip short, Toby’s life at home quickly unravels. This debut novel explores the role that trauma plays in the mental health of an artist.
